At the local level, First Baptist is a member of the Rehoboth Association which has varied ministries.  The Christian Social Ministry and the Appalachian Ministry are just two of these ministries.

Ministries

Sunday School

We have Sunday School classes for all ages.

Nursing Home Ministry

First Baptist Church Marshallville leads a Sunday School class at the Oaks Nursing Home every Sunday.  Each February  the church sponsors a birthday party with finger foods and drinks to celebrate the birthdays of those residents having a birthday during the month.  Members also provide a gift for each resident at Christmas.

Missions

First Baptist Church Marshallville supports the Southern Baptist Convention by giving to local, state, national and worldwide missions.  In addition to these mission programs, members donate canned goods and other food pantry needs for the Christian Social Ministry, and clothing for the Appalachian Ministry.  Also, each Christmas members pack shoe boxes for the Appalachian Ministry, donate toys to Kids Yule Love and sponsor a local family.   Some of our individual members volunteer in various ministries such as working with the Appalachian Ministry sorting donations of clothing and household items, and loading trucks (Rehoboth Baptist Association); and working with the Baby Changing Station at the Georgia National Fair (sponsored by Rehoboth Baptist Association).  In the past some members have worked at the Georgia National Fair giving free ice water (to include tracts and gifts for children) (Campers on Mission); and working at ports at the Seamen's Centers to minister to, and meet the needs of, seafarers from around the world as they leave the ships for a few hours while in port (Campers on Mission).

Joint Services with Marshallville United Methodist Church

First Baptist Church Marshallville and the Marshallville United Methodist Church alternate hosting Vacation Bible School each year.  The choirs combine to present a musical program each Easter and Christmas.  The churches also combine efforts for community projects.
