At the local level, First Baptist is a member of the Rehoboth Association which has varied ministries.  The Christian Social Ministry and the Appalachian Ministry are just two of these ministries.

Ministries

Sunday School

We have Sunday School classes for all ages.

Nursing Home Ministry

Until COVIS-19 restricted access, First Baptist Church Marshallville led a Sunday School class at the Oaks Nursing Home every Sunday.  Each February  the church sponsors a birthday party with finger foods and drinks to celebrate the birthdays of those residents having a birthday during the month.  Members also provide gifts for the residents at Christmas.

Missions

First Baptist Church Marshallville supports the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) by giving to local, state, national and worldwide missions.  Separate Annie Armstrong and Lottie Moon offerings are taken.
In addition to these SBC mission programs, members donate canned goods and other food pantry needs for local needy families, and donate clothing and household items to the Rehoboth Baptist Association Appalachian Ministry,  Also, each Christmas members pack shoe boxes for the Appalachian Ministry which provides gifts to children of Appalachia who would otherwise receive nothing for Christmas..  Last year we sent 90 boxes. Some of our individual members have volunteered in various ministries such as working with the Appalachian Ministry sorting donations of clothing and household items, some were loading the trucks getting them ready to go to  Appalachia.
Some worked at the Georgia National Fair at the Baby Changing Station (sponsored by the Rehoboth Baptist Association), some gave out free ice water, tracts and gifts for children through Campers on Mission.  Also, through Campers on Mission those members volunteered at  Seamen's Centers at several ports to minister to, and meet the needs of, seafarers from around the world as they left the ships for a few hours while in port.  Part of that ministry is sharing the plan of salvation and providing Bibles in all languages.

Joint Services with Marshallville United Methodist Church

First Baptist Church Marshallville and the Marshallville United Methodist Church alternate hosting Vacation Bible School each year.  The choirs combine to present a musical program each Easter and Christmas.  The churches also combine efforts for community projects.
